Black Dog of Bouley Bay Badge

6.50

Based on Jersey Folklore; The Black Dog of Bouley Bay (or Tchian d'Bouôlé in Jèrriais) was said to have eyes the size of saucers & a chain which it dragged along the ground, frightening the inhabitants of Trinity.

It's victims were never physically hurt, rather they would often be found cowering behind a hedgerow or wall...

It was also said that the appearance of the Dog meant there would be a storm, which some believe was invented to scare off smugglers who used Bouley Bay as a port.

This incarnation of the Black Dog is a soft enamel pin with glow in the dark eyes, made for an exhibition on Jersey Myths & Legends.
